What's the difference between the Hosted Platform and the SMS Gateway?
The Hosted Platform is a web-based application that manages lists, subscribers, and broadcasting of text message campaigns. The SMS Gateway is for customers that wish to develop their own SMS messaging application or want to add SMS capabilities to an existing application.
How do I buy messages?
You can purchase messages online from inside your account.
What do messages cost?
U.S. messages are sold in packs, and range in price from 2.5 to 5 cents per message. International messages are 10 to 12.5 cents per message.
Is there any time limit in which to use the SMS messages?
No. You simply buy a message pack, and when you run out, you buy another pack. There is no expiration date for when you can use the messages. You will even be notified by email when your message balance gets low.

What international carriers do you support?
We support over 400 carriers in more than 200 countries.
What is a short code and why do I need one?
A short code is a five or six digit number that is assigned to your account. It is used for routing messages between wireless subscribers, carriers, and applications.
With the SMSdelivery Hosted Platform, subscribers can text keywords to your short code to subscribe and unsubscribe to your lists. The Hosted Platform SMB Edition comes with a shared short code, and a dedicated short code is optional with the Pro Edition. The SMS Gateway requires a dedicated short code in the U.S. and Canada. Does your SMS Gateway support two-way messaging?
The SMS Gateway supports two-way messaging in the U.S. and Canada. International two-way messaging is supported with the carriers that support it with a dedicated long code number assigned to your account.
Do you have an API for your SMS Gateway?
Yes. Our API is provided during set up of your SMS Gateway account. Connectivity for two-way messaging is done using straightforward http. Integration is very fast, and easy. No additional hardware or software is required on your server.

Is your service MMA (Mobile Marketing Association) compliant?
Our Hosted Platform is MMA compliant. Your application connected to our SMS Gateway will also be required to be MMA compliant. We will assist you in preparing your application to ensure you are in compliant, prior to submitting your short code application to the wireless carriers for acceptance.
